State of Ireland’s biological diversity

June 30, 2010

The current state of Ireland’s biological diversity will be the subject of a major meeting of scientists and recorders organised by the National Biodiversity Data Centre in Waterford on 26th & 27th August, as part of Ireland’s contribution to International Year of Biodiversity 2010.

One hope’s they will give reasonable attention to Ireland’s agricultural biodiversity and scientists and individuals working in this area. Ireland’s national report, which is by no means comprehensive, to the upcoming second report of the State of the World’s Plant Genetic Resources might be a good starting point.
